Private Mode And Stealth Mode Help

mode iconKovurt gives you great privacy and security when you visit websites and social media on the Internet. For Mac and Windows users, we have 2 different modes that Kovurt uses: Private Mode and Stealth Mode.

What is the difference between Private Mode and Stealth Mode?
Private Mode will give you a faster connection, but some people may not be able to connect to Private Mode. In that situation, people who can’t use Private Mode should instead use Stealth Mode. Stealth Mode is somewhat slower than Private Mode, but it provides better connectivity.

For example, we suggest you first try connecting with Private Mode. If your connection has a “Connection Time Out” error or “Server Not Found” error, you should instead try connecting with Stealth Mode.

Also, in some countries, Private Mode is not always available. For example, if you are inside China and trying to connect to Paris using Private Mode, often that connection is not possible. Instead you should use Stealth Mode to connect to Paris. Using Private Mode, the connection takes a few seconds, but Stealth Mode may take up to 30 seconds to make the first connection.

Likewise, if you are in London and want to connect to Kovurt’s Beijing location, often Stealth Mode is the best way to make a stable connection. The first connection may take up to a minute to authorize and authenticate, but afterwards you will have faster surfing speeds.

What’s the difference between Private Mode TCP and Private Mode UDP?
In general, TCP connections are more stable and reliable, but UDP connections are faster. So if you are in China or behind a router where you are “losing packets” and not able to connect, you should try using Private Mode TCP. But if connectivity is not a problem and you only want privacy, then please try using UDP for quicker access.
